With VTConfig-USB-Switch2_v1.X.json the cabinet works as a Nintendo Pro Controller: plug it straight into the console dock with a USB cable, no adapter needed. It is made for the Switch 2 and also works on the first Switch.
Load the profile in GUIConfigTool (Configuration tab → Import from File → Program Pico) or put it in a slot.
Connect the cabinet's USB cable to the console dock.

The shaker is off in this profile: with the console connected by cable, the motor's electrical noise can make it drop the connection. For shaker feedback on Switch, connect the cabinet through an external USB dongle.
While this profile runs, the cabinet is invisible to GUIConfigTool. Hold the Blue button for 2 seconds to return to the normal mode (see "Exiting Xbox-Exclusive USB Mode").
Use the GUIConfigTool from the same package: older versions do not know the Switch settings.
