Star Wars Pinball VR: Flippers Not Responding on Meta Quest

You paired the cabinet, Star Wars Pinball VR launched, the table is in front of you — and the flipper buttons do nothing. The cause is inside the game, not in your VirtuaTilt.

The fix

Open the game's controller settings and change the flipper buttons from LT/RT to LB/RB. In the VR room the control settings are shown on the big TV screen on the left-hand side.

You have to do this every single time you launch the game. Even when LB/RB is already showing as the saved setting, you still have to re-select it before the flippers will work. Do it immediately on launch, before you start a table.

This is a known bug in Star Wars Pinball VR itself. It is not a VirtuaTilt fault, not a pairing fault, and there is nothing to change on the cabinet. Note what happens: the setting is displayed as saved, it is simply not applied until you re-select it — so seeing LB/RB already on screen is not confirmation that it is active.

Make sure this is actually your problem

Two different faults look identical from the outside — you press a flipper and nothing happens. Tell them apart like this:

If the cabinet never connected at all, neither of these applies: start from Bluetooth pairing problems.

Check you are on the right profile

Star Wars Pinball VR has its own dedicated profile, VTConfig-BT-StarWarsPinballVR_v1.X.json. It is preloaded on button 4, which shows a white profile LED, and it pairs to the Quest as "VirtuaTilt-Starwars". If the Quest is showing a different device name, a different profile is loaded and that is a separate problem — see choosing the right profile.

There is no X-Arcade Mode here. XAM applies to Pinball FX VR only; Star Wars Pinball VR has a single profile and is activated with the A button. If you are trying the two-flipper alignment gesture on this game, that is why nothing is happening.

You can also play this title over USB instead of Bluetooth, using VTConfig-USB-VRClassics-StarWarsVR_v1.X.json and a USB-A → USB-C OTG adapter.

What is normal, and not worth chasing

On the Quest VR titles the only feedback you will feel is the flippers. There is no shaker and no bumper or slingshot solenoids — not on Star Wars Pinball VR, not on Pinball FX VR, not on Pinball VR Classics. That is expected: full cabinet feedback comes from the PC pinball games driven by DOF / DOFLinx, not from the standalone Quest titles. A quiet cabinet on this game is not a fault.

The plunger and nudge, on the other hand, are fully analog on this profile. If those are dead too, you are looking at the first case above, not at this one.
