VirtuaTilt Wiki › Preloaded Profiles — Which Button Loads What
Your Wireless VirtuaTilt ships ready-to-play: a profile is already assigned to each of the 8 boot buttons, so the cabinet is ready to play right out of the box. To pick a game, hold its button while you switch the cabinet on; you can release it after a second. The centre LED then lights in that profile's colour (see the table): within about a second, or after about 5–10 seconds if the cabinet's Wi-Fi is set up for firmware updates (the Bluetooth module first checks for an update). Bluetooth starts at the same moment as the LED. Then pair / launch on your Quest or PC.

NOTE — the default profile is not "slot 1". If you do not hold any button at boot, the cabinet loads its default profile and the central LED stays off — this is normal. The factory default is VTConfig-USB-VPX-10.8.X-DOF_v1.X.json (Visual Pinball X 10.8.x), set in GUIConfigTool → Configuration tab. It is a separate boot state from the eight button slots above, even though it currently uses the same file as button 1.

The Steam and Zaccaria profiles now have Start / Menu on the Center button, to pause and leave a table. To get it on slots 5, 6 and 8, upload VTConfig-BT-STEAM-XInput v1.3, VTConfig-BT-STEAM-Zaccaria v1.4 and VTConfig-USB-STEAM-XInput v1.2 in GUIConfigTool → Profiles tab.
The LED colours shown are the factory defaults — you can re-assign any slot's colour in GUIConfigTool → Profiles tab → Slot LED Colors. To change which profile sits on which button, use GUIConfigTool → Profiles tab (the live source of truth, in case a previous owner re-mapped them).
