🎯 Unlocking the FULL VirtuaTilt potential — DOF / DOFLinx over USB

Your VirtuaTilt has four feedback outputs: three solenoids (left flipper, right flipper, and the combined bumpers/slingshots solenoid) plus one shaker motor. To drive all four from live game events — the complete cabinet experience — you need a DOF pipeline (Visual Pinball X, Future Pinball) or a DOFLinx pipeline (Pinball FX / FX3 and the Steam games that support the DOFLinx framework).

DOF / DOFLinx run over USB only — never over Bluetooth. This is true for both the Wired VirtuaTilt and the Wireless VirtuaTilt connected in USB mode (load a VTConfig-USB-…-DOF / -DOFLinx profile). No Bluetooth profile can fire the bumpers/slingshots solenoid.

Without DOF / DOFLinx you still get a useful subset: the flipper solenoids fire in every profile (driven locally by the flipper buttons), and the shaker motor fires only when the game/host sends an XInput rumble packet (the STEAM-XInput-style profiles). The bumpers/slingshots solenoid stays silent until a DOF / DOFLinx pipeline drives it.

A note for newcomers: virtual pinball is a rewarding hobby, but it is not plug-and-play. DOF / DOFLinx have a genuine, steep learning curve, and it is completely normal to need real study and some trial-and-error before everything clicks. Because their setup depends on many variables outside our control (your PC, Windows, the VP software versions, per-table configs, other feedback tools), DOF / DOFLinx configuration is out of scope for 3DPTronics support. We sincerely value your feedback and do our best to help with thorough guides and this assistant — but our DOF / DOFLinx guidance is limited to what we have written in those guides, so we cannot go further than that. For anything the guides don't cover, please lean on each project's own documentation and community. That said, we warmly welcome your input: if you find something missing or wrong in the guides — or you've worked out a fix or improvement — please send it to us (including your modified parts), and we'll fold it into the guides so every VirtuaTilt owner can benefit.
