Cabinet Not Detected After an Update or After Loading a Profile

The lights come on, but the PC no longer detects the cabinet and no button helps. With v8.0.17 this could happen after loading a profile on cabinets whose profile storage had been filled by earlier versions; v8.0.17.1 and later check for this at every start and fix it. To recover:

  1. Switch the cabinet off, unplug the Pico USB cable from the PC and open the box (Appendix E).
  2. Hold the BOOTSEL button on the Pico board and, while holding it, plug the Pico USB cable back into the PC. A drive called RPI-RP2 appears; release the button.
  3. Copy firmware/PinscapePico.uf2 from the latest package onto the RPI-RP2 drive. The Pico restarts and the PC detects the cabinet again.
  4. Close the box, then load your profile and upload your slots again with the Profiles tab.

If the cabinet is still not detected after step 3, contact us and include the Build ID of your package.

NOTE: From v8.0.17.1, if you power on holding a slot button whose profile is missing or damaged, the cabinet starts the default profile instead (before, it started with no configuration: buttons dead, LED off, no Bluetooth). Upload that slot again.
