Accelerometer Noise Calibration

All accelerometers exhibit small random fluctuations even when sitting perfectly still. The noise floor depends on your specific cabinet (vibrations from nearby equipment, ambient noise, manufacturing tolerances). Pinscape Pico has a one-click calibration that learns your cabinet's noise floor and uses it to decide when the cabinet is "at rest" for auto-centering purposes.

To calibrate:

• Open GUIConfigTool → Nudge tab.

Make sure no one is touching or bumping the cabinet — leave it alone, undisturbed.

• Click the "Calibrate" button.

 

• Wait ~15 seconds while Pinscape Pico samples the accelerometer.

 

• Click "Save Settings" when the calibration completes.

 

NOTE: Do not try to make the cabinet extra-quiet during calibration (e.g. by adding cushioning temporarily). The point is to measure the NORMAL background level that will be in effect during gameplay.
