Choosing the Right Profile for Your Game

Your Wireless VirtuaTilt comes with 6 (six) Bluetooth profiles. They are supplied two ways: already preloaded on the cabinet (ready to select at boot — just hold the matching button), and as .json files in the redist profiles-BT/ folder so you can re-load or customize them from a PC. Each profile is tuned for a specific game and host device combination. You only ever need one profile loaded at a time.

Those guides are written for the Wired VirtuaTilt, but the configuration procedure is the same on your Wireless VirtuaTilt, with two differences:

• The Wireless VirtuaTilt has no service button board (present on the Wired version), so it has fewer mapped buttons. (Night Mode is still available — on the Wireless it is built in and toggled by holding the white button for 5 seconds; see the Activate Nightmode function chapter.)
• When you use a Bluetooth (BT) profile, you must first pair the cabinet to your Meta Quest or PC (see the Pairing chapters). USB profiles connect by cable, exactly as in the per-game guides.

One more thing: the profile filenames differ — your Wireless cabinet uses the VTConfig-BT-… / VTConfig-USB-… names listed in this guide, not the wired VTConfig-<game> names shown in those PDFs. The steps are identical; only the filename changes.

Meta Quest profiles (VR headset)¶

• VTConfig-BT-FXVR_XAM_v1.X.json — the X-Arcade Mode (XAM) profile for Pinball FX VR on Quest. It pairs to the Quest as an "X-Arcade" keyboard device — which is why XAM is sometimes labelled "keyboard mode" (it is the same thing).
• VTConfig-BT-FXVR_v1.X.json — the Standard Mode (non-XAM) profile for Pinball FX VR; use it if you do not need X-Arcade keyboard mode. With this profile there is no X-Arcade activation gesture — no vertical controller alignment and no both-flipper-button press. Note: its plunger will not behave as accurately as the XAM version — for the best plunger feel, use the FXVR_XAM profile.
• VTConfig-BT-StarWarsPinballVR_v1.X.json — for Star Wars Pinball VR on Quest. Pairs as "VirtuaTilt-Starwars". Plunger and nudge fully analog.
• VTConfig-BT-PinballVRClassics_v1.X.json — for Pinball VR Classics on Quest. Pairs as a "VirtuaTilt-Classics". Plunger and nudge fully analog.

Note: the X-Arcade Mode (XAM) vs Standard Mode distinction applies to Pinball FX VR only. Star Wars Pinball VR and Pinball VR Classics have no XAM/Standard variant — each has a single dedicated profile listed above.

 

Windows PC profiles¶

• VTConfig-BT-STEAM-XInput_v1.X.json — for Steam VP games and any PC game that recognizes an Xbox Wireless Controller. Includes shaker motor rumble! Pairs as "VirtuaTilt-Steam"
• VTConfig-BT-VPX-FuturePinball_v1.X.json — for VPX and Future Pinball in keyboard-binding mode on PC. Pairs as a Bluetooth keyboard plus a composite gamepad. Pairs as "VirtuaTilt-PC"
• VTConfig-BT-STEAM-Zaccaria_v1.X.json — for Zaccaria Pinball in composite-gamepad mode on PC. Pairs as "VirtuaTilt-PC"

NOTE: Only one profile is loaded on your VirtuaTilt at any one time. To switch from one game to another, push the new profile and re-pair on the host (see next chapter).

 

 

USB (wired) play for the Meta Quest VR games¶

The six profiles above are the Bluetooth profiles, but the three Meta Quest VR titles — Pinball FX VR, Pinball VR Classics and Star Wars Pinball VR — can be played either over Bluetooth or over USB. They are not Bluetooth-only. For a wired connection, connect the VirtuaTilt directly to the Quest with a USB-A → USB-C OTG adapter (an optional accessory — not included by default; available bundled with a VirtuaTilt or on its own) and load the matching USB profile:

• VTConfig-USB-FXVR_XAM_v1.X.json — Pinball FX VR on Quest (USB).
• VTConfig-USB-VRClassics-StarWarsVR_v1.X.json — one profile that covers both Pinball VR Classics and Star Wars Pinball VR on Quest (USB).

Load it from GUIConfigTool → Configuration → Import from File → Program Pico, then connect the cabinet to the Quest through the OTG adapter and launch the game. Bluetooth or USB is your choice — both are fully supported.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not modify the shipped profiles directly. If you want a custom variant, "Save As" inside GUIConfigTool and save with a different filename. That keeps the originals intact for easy restore.
