Note: Pinball FX VR (the Meta Quest VR title) is not part of this group — it uses its own dedicated mapping, shown next.

Pinball FX VR (Quest — X-Arcade Mode / XAM)Picture 1

This is Pinball FX VR's own button map, and the same layout applies whether you activate XAM or pick the in-game "normal" mode — XAM is just a game mode, not a different mapping. (The XAM profile pairs to the Quest as an "X-Arcade" keyboard device, which is why it is sometimes called "keyboard mode".) Pinball FX VR reads the cabinet as keyboard keys — the table below shows what each key does, so numbers like 5, 8 and I make sense:

KeyVirtuaTilt controlFunction in Pinball FX VR
ULeft flipper buttonLeft flipper
6Right flipper buttonRight flipper
8Launch / plunger buttonLaunch ball / plunger
IPause buttonPause
5Powerup buttonPowerup
ANudge upNudge up
SNudge downNudge down
DNudge rightNudge right
FNudge leftNudge left

Note: these keyboard keys are fixed by Pinball FX VR — the game always listens for U / 6 / 8 / I / 5 / A / S / D / F, so the keys themselves cannot be changed. What you can change is which physical VirtuaTilt button sends each key (the button→key assignment in the profile). The shipped FXVR profile is already set up optimally, so most users never need to touch it — but if you want to remap a button, you can edit the profile and re-import it. Keep each key mapped to a button somewhere, or that in-game function will stop responding.

Buttons Testing

You can use the GUIConfigTool Buttons tab to confirm that every cabinet button fires correctly, before you start a Bluetooth session:
